Our business areas are Upstream, Power (gas-fired/renewables), LNG, and Future Business Development / Innovation, with our offices located in Houston, New York, and Silicon Valley.

Hiroshi Emi is the Chief Technical Officer of Osaka Gas USA.
Tamotsu Manabe
Chief Compliance Officer
Tamotsu Manabe is the Chief Compliance Officer of Osaka Gas USA.
Hiroshi Emi
Chief Technical Officer
Hiroshi Emi is the Chief Technical Officer of Osaka Gas USA. He is responsible for the supervision of engineering in all aspects of OGUSA’s businesses.
He joined Daigas Group in 1992, where Hiroshi’s expertise in project management grew based on his background as a Process Engineer.
During his first seven years, he worked at an engineering company where he participated primarily in the EPC of methanation facilities. He next moved to a role where he optimized the cryogenic energy utilization system in the company’s LNG receiving terminals. Since 2010, he has been involved in LNG liquefaction projects overseas, including an assignment at Chevron Australia, Gorgon LNG Project. In 2013, he participated in the Freeport LNG Project EPC in the U.S.
Tetsushi Ikuta
President & CEO
Tetsushi Ikuta is the President & CEO of Osaka Gas USA, responsible for leading Osaka Gas’ operations and strategic growth in North America. Since joining the Daigas Group in 1991, he has built his career in the global energy industry, with extensive experience in upstream projects in Australia and Papua New Guinea, LNG projects, including the development of Freeport LNG in the US, and power businesses. He has previously held several leadership positions within the Daigas Group, including a prior term as President & CEO of Osaka Gas USA.
Tamotsu Manabe
Chief Compliance Officer
Tamotsu Manabe is the Chief Compliance Officer of Osaka Gas USA. He is responsible for conducting compliance activities.
He joined Daigas Group in 1999 and has more than 7 years of work experience in Energy Resources and International Business Unit (ERIBU) in Daigas Group HQ. In this role, he has been involved in LNG trading strategy planning, a business development study in India and establishment of overseas business risk management system.
Yasuo Kato
Chief Safety Officer
Yasuo Kato is the Chief Safety Officer of Osaka Gas USA. He is responsible for the supervision of safety in all aspects of OGUSA’s business.
He commenced his carrier in JGC Corporation, and then joined Daigas Group in 2008. He has a project management background with over 30 years in the overseas energy business in diverse places such as the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Australia. His expertise is to conduct feasibility studies, planning, EPC, HSE, scheduling & cost control in energy and infrastructure projects.
Takeshi Matsui
Takeshi Matsui is the Chairman of Osaka Gas USA. He joined Daigas Group in 1983. Mr. Matsui previously served as Executive Vice President of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. from April 2019 to March 2024 and has been a board member of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. since June 2017. He also has served as President of Corporate Planning, Headquarters, and was responsible for overseeing the company’s international businesses, including the gas network businesses and IT-related subsidiary. In other executive positions within Daigas Group, he served as Senior Executive Officer and the Head of the Energy Resources & International Business Unit from April 2016 through March 2019. Additionally, he serves as an Advisor for Osaka Gas’s international businesses.
