Omaha, Neb., December 21 2022 (BUSINESS WIRE) – Green Plains Inc. (NASDAQ:GPRE), Tallgrass and Osaka Gas USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan-based Osaka Gas, today announced the commencement of a joint feasibility study to evaluate the production of up to 200,000 tons per year of synthetic methane in the U.S. Midwest.

Osaka Gas USA Corporation (“OGUSA”), a subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., has entered into a joint venture with Summit Ridge Energy, LLC (“SRE”), a US based distributed solar power developer, to construct, own and operate more than 50 megawatts (MW) of distributed solar power projects throughout the state of Illinois. The projects will provide low cost clean energy to local residential and commercial customers through the state’s community solar program.

Osaka Gas USA Corporation (“OGUSA”), a subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., has reached agreement with Oriden LLC (“Oriden”), a US based renewable project developer, to jointly develop a portfolio of more than 700 MWdc (600 MWac) of utility-scale solar and storage projects throughout certain US markets.

Osaka Gas USA Corporation (“OGUSA”) is pleased to announce the celebration of successful energization and commercial operation of the Brighter Future Solar project (the “Project”), located in Caldwell County, North Carolina. Commercial operation began on January 27, and its launch event was held on February 22. The Project is selling its output to Blue Ridge Energy under a long-term contact.

(“MHIA”) to acquire the Brighter Future Solar Farm project; a 15.7 MWdc solar project under construction in Caldwell County, North Carolina.

Osaka Gas USA Corporation (“OGUSA”), a subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., has reached an agreement with NOVI Energy (“NOVI”), a US based power project developer, to jointly develop a portfolio of more than 1 GW of utility-scale solar projects throughout certain US markets. This marks OGUSA’s first utility-scale solar investment in the US.
