Osaka Gas USA Corporation (“OGUSA”) today announced that it has acquired an additional 10% equity interest in CPV Three Rivers Energy Center (“Three Rivers Project”) from a subsidiary of Competitive Power Ventures (“CPV”).

Through this transaction, OGUSA increases its ownership interest in the project from 15% to 25% and assumes the role of Asset Manager, reinforcing its long-term commitment to expanding its power generation portfolio in North America.

The Three Rivers Project is a 1,250MW combined-cycle, gas-fired power plant located in Illinois that plays a key role in providing reliable, efficient energy to the regional grid. OGUSA views this additional investment as a strategic opportunity to deepen its involvement in a high-quality infrastructure asset, while leveraging its operational expertise to enhance long-term value.

“We are pleased to further expand our ownership and take on the Asset Manager role in the Three Rivers Project,” said Tetsushi Ikuta, President and CEO of OGUSA. “This acquisition aligns with our long-term strategy to invest in stable and competitive energy assets in the U.S.”
