Osaka Gas USA Corporation (“OGUSA”), a subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., has reached agreement with NOVI Energy (“NOVI”), a US based power project developer, to jointly develop a portfolio of more than 1 GW of utility-scale solar projects throughout certain US markets. This marks OGUSA’s first utility-scale solar investment in the US.

The partnership with NOVI launches our investment in utility-scale solar and storage, in line with the reduction of CO2 emissions targeted by the Daigas Group,” said Tetsushi Ikuta, President of OGUSA.

The joint development activities of the partnership will focus initially on a portfolio of utility-scale solar projects as Apricus Energy, newly formed between Novi and OGUSA.
