Osaka Gas USA today announced that CPV Fairview Energy Center (CPV Fairview), in which Osaka Gas USA owns a 50% equity interest, achieved full commercial operation on December 9, 2019.
Since becoming a partner in the CPV Fairview project in March 2017, Osaka Gas USA had worked with CPV to finish the construction by the original commercial operation date (COD) in March 2020. Thanks to the smooth progress in the construction, the project achieved a COD 3 months earlier than originally scheduled.
Located in Pennsylvania in the United States, CPV Fairview is a combined-cycle gas fired power plant, having an installed capacity of 1,050MW. The electricity generated by CPV Fairview will power homes and businesses in the PJM footprint.
