Osaka Gas USA Corporation (“OGUSA”) is pleased to announce the celebration of successful energization and commercial operation of the Brighter Future Solar project (the “Project”), located in Caldwell County, North Carolina. Commercial operation began on January 27, and its launch event was held on February 22. The Project is selling its output to Blue Ridge Energy under a long-term contact. 

The Project is a 15.7 MWdc(11MWac) solar project, owned in partnership with the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ subsidiary, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (“MHIA”). OGUSA and MHIA acquired the Project from the developer Oriden LLC (“Oriden”), a fully owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc in September 2021.
