Message from President
It is a little-known fact that, in very early days of Daigas Group (early in the 20th century), the Edison Company of the United States was major shareholder with a 50% stake in the group. And now, more than 100 years later, some of Daigas Group’s capital is making a return trip to the United States through new major investments in the energy sector.
The United States is among the most important growth countries for Daigas Group, where its subsidiary Osaka Gas USA has more than a dozen of investment assets and builds the teams necessary to manage them.
Osaka Gas USA will:
- Serve customer needs better through development of energy resources and assets in the country, and supply of such energy resources to domestic and international markets; and
- Offer its employees the opportunities to grow and develop skills and abilities by taking more active roles in managing its investments.
We aim to create and enhance value for all of our stakeholders,
through energy asset development and supply in North America.

Osaka Gas USA Corporation ("OGUSA") is a wholly owned subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd ("Osaka Gas") formed to develop, construct, acquire and manage energy businesses throughout North America.
On March 8, 2018, Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. launches a new group brand “Daigas Group.”
The Daigas Group, the new group brand, symbolizes Pursuing Innovation, while Promoting Our Motto “Service First,” the pledge to be carried out by each member of the Group in order to fulfill its commitment. “Daigas” embodies the pledge of being “Dynamic and Innovative” to achieve the vision while being “Genuine and Studious” in finding out true needs of customers and offering innovative solutions to enhance their life and business, which has been practiced in the Group's business for over 110 years.
